Structure. ITeM's team in Montevideo

ITeM's General Assembly meets annually to elect an Executive Board and Fiscal Committee (whose members can not belong to Item's staff). The General Assembly also approves budgets and accounts and appoints the Executive Director. The members of the Executive Board are Clara Píriz (President) and Luis Alvarez (Secretary). The Executive Director is Carlos Abin.

ITeM's daily management is in the hands of the Committee of Program Area Coordinators.

In July 2002, ITeM had a staff of 30 employees, 18 women and 12 men.
